Better Extreme Skatepark Barking
Mayesbrook Park, Lodge Ave, Dagenham
RM8 2JR
Barking Sporthouse has an Indoor Wooden Skatepark, Trampoline Park, Climbing Walls, a Gym, and Soft-Play for the kids. Built and opened in 2012, then taken over by a charity called “Better” in 2014.
The skate park offers over 900 square metres of skate ramp terrain, with a beginners area, street zone with ledges, ‘flat bars’ and ‘Euro-gaps’, and London’s first key-hole Birchwood bowl.
There is free on site parking or you can catch the train, tube or tram to Upney or Becontree Station and then it’s roughly a 15 minute walk. They also have a cafe for food and drinks.
Visit the Better.org website for more information regarding opening times, prices etc, or call the park before heading down for a session: www.better.org.uk/leisure-centre/london/barking-and-dagenham/barking-sporthouse-and-gym/skate-barking-sporthouse-and-gym
